Here are this week’s Tops of the Week! We have some really unique and story filled pieces this week that we hope will be just the top you’ve been looking for for your next Fodera.

First up, we have a beautiful block of Andaman Padauk that was purchased in 1978 by Vinny! It’s been in the shop untouched since then and interestingly enough was purchased the same year that Vinny started working with Stuart Spector.

Next we have beautiful piece of water-cured Redwood Pin Burl. The tree that this Redwood comes from was submerged in a body of water for a long time before it was pulled up and cut, which changed the density and color of the material (you may notice it is much darker than our typical Redwood tops).

Finally we have a very very unique wood that we simply don’t know the name for! This “Tropical Hybrid” top came from a small piece of wood that we found in the back of the shop. While we are not certain of its species, we believe it to be a hybrid of Tulipwood and Brazilian Rosewood. Whatever it is, we were all in awe of its unique figuring.
