Hear from the makers of some of the industry’s finest instruments as they discuss their designs, what continues to inspire them, and how they got their start. Vincent “Vinny” Fodera is the Master Luthier and Chief Product Designer for Fodera Guitars. Prior to cofounding Fodera in 1983, Vinny studied under Thomas Humphrey, learning the luthiery skills he would sharpen at Spector Guitars in the late 1970s. In 1980, he went on to work at Ken Smith’s shop in Brooklyn, which later became the first Fodera shop. Vinny’s luthiery knowledge and artistic skills have allowed him to build instruments that are desired worldwide. By being open to customer feedback over the past 35 years, Vinny has refined the company’s instrument designs to enhance both the functionality and tonal characteristics into being widely recognized the world over for their industry-leading ergonomics and tone.
