In addition to Standards, we are also proud to announce our new Black Limba Emperor Select!Every now and then, we like to provide Fodera Customers with the opportunity to purchase a Custom Shop build at a more competitive price. From July through Sept of 2016 we will be proudly building and delivering ten (10) Black Limba Emperor Selects. Ever since we started offering Black Limba as a body wood, we’ve been eager to use it on a bass with no-top, since the tone wood itself has such intricate and exciting figure. Not only that, but combining Black Limba with an Indian Rosewood fingerboard will produce a wonderfully balanced instrument with a deep, fat low end, crisp mid-range, and rich highs. This bass will also be the first Select to feature a 5-pc Maple / Wenge neck! Rounding out the specs will be a set of versatile Fodera / Duncan Dual Coil Pickups and our 3-band Custom Shop Fodera Preamp. The pickups will be spaced in 70’s position — giving some added clarity and definition to the tonal mix. If you have been longing for an Emperor , this is the one!

NEW Stunning Topwood For Custom Instruments!
We’re excited to offer our first ever block of Burmese Sal, a completely new topwood to our wood catalogue, for Custom instruments! This piece of Burmese Sal came from an “air burl” meaning that it grew suspended from a vine from a huge tropical tree. We have never had this material before and are excited to see it used in a Custom instrument. The wood is rich in red color with intricate burls that are unique to this species and we only have enough of this material for 6 instruments. If you are interested in using Burmese Sal for your build, contact firstname.lastname@example.org for pricing and availability.
