| Felix Pastorius, son of the legendary Jaco Pastorius, is quickly making a name for himself as an exciting new voice on the bottom end. You may have seen him in a stunning solo performance on Hudson Music's Drummers Collective 25th Anniversary DVD or with the Florida-based, "Way Of The Groove" with twin brother Julius. Most recently, Felix shared reflections of being the son of a legend with an audience of bass players at Steve Bailey's "Bass At The Beach", after which the spirit of Jaco was felt throughout the room as Felix was joined on stage by Bailey, Victor Wooten, and Mike Pope. The impromptu jam featured some of Jaco's famous grooves, interpretations and melodies ranging from "Continuum" to "Third Stone from the Sun". Watch for Felix. You'll be seeing alot of him.... |
