Unique Features
This Tom Kennedy Signature Emperor II was built for a longtime customer and good friend of Fodera.
The Tom Kennedy Signature Emperor II is based on the instrument we designed in conjunction with, and for the use of bass player extraordinaire, Tom Kennedy. All of the specs of this bass, Ash body, Alder tone-block, Ebony fingerboard, 35" scale, and tightly spaced dual-coil pickups, were chosen to create the warm, yet punchy tone that gives Tom Kennedy his unique sound.
This bass differs from Tom's bass in just a few areas, not the least of which is the 5-piece Maple neck with Bubinga stringers. Other addtions to this build include a Walnut finger ramp (to match the top) and the inlay of the name "Cat" on the back of the headstock.
