Unique Features
This Imperial 5 was built for one of our European dealers.
At first glance, you may think this bass to be a Richard Bona Signature Imperial, and you would be right, save for one detail: The RB Signature has EMG pickups, but this Imperial was built with a set of Fodera/Duncan dual-coils.
With an Ash body, Ash tone block, and Birdseye Maple fingerboard, this bass has a bright tone with a deep, percussive low end, precise mids, and clear, punchy highs. The dual-coil pickups can be played active or passive, and in both dual and single-coil modes, giving lots of different tonal options to the player.
