Unique Features
Here is an instrument built for a friend of Fodera who lives in Alaska and holds the bass seat for the U.S. Air Force Band.
This Monarch 4 Bolt-on pairs an Alder body with an Ebony fingerboard, giving it a deep, warm low end and clean, clear highs. By combining a light, warm tone-wood (Alder) with a dense, bright one (Ebony) we get an instrument with a balanced tone that is designed to suit a range of playing needs.
You could say the woods compliment each other, just like the black Ebony compliments the redness of the Madrone Burl top. All-gold hardware (including knobs) pull it all together with some tasteful flair.
