Unique Features
Here is a wonderful Imperial 5 that came back to us through our Certified Preowned Program.
Built in 2000, this bass was originally set up with Bartolini pickups and an older version of our Custom preamp. While it was in very good condition when it arrived, we updated the electronics with our newest Fodera/Pope Custom Shop preamp, and a set of Seymour Duncan dual-coil pickups. Of course we also treated it to all of the TLC necessary to get this instrument back to top-of-the-line condition before it sold.
An Alder body with an Ash tone block gives this bass a well balanced tone that is warm and deep, with a slightly percussive quality and precise mids. An Ebony fingerboard imparts a clean attack with clear, bell-like highs.
Fun Fact: The back of the headstock was signed by Vinny and Joey back in 2000, so this lucky customer not only got a great bass, but some vintage autographs too!
