One of our 2013 NAMM Basses, this Newborn is a Yin Yang Deluxe that was intended to push the genre about as far as it can go it terms of being special. #1 of 6 in our 30th Anniversary Year, Brazilian Rosewood used both as part of the YY symbol AND on the FB, a neck that was built up from Birdseye and Flame Maple that has been here in the shop since the early 1990's, and Fodera / Duncan Dual Coils with PUP covers that perfectly match the YY design. Okay, yes, I (Jason) needed to be forcibly restrained on several occasions from trying to sneak out the door with it!
Tonally, this stunning instrument cops the old school vibe with aplomb (after all, the Alder / Brazilian RW tonewood combo pretty much defines "old school") while also remaining articulate, nuanced and incredibly precise. This Yin Yang Deluxe is simply a joy to play, hear and behold.
