Unique Features
This beautiful Imperial 5 features an Indian Rosewood fingerboard with an Alder body, giving it a wonderfully warm, deep low end. An Ash tone block was selected to add a bit of punch and brightness to the mix, lending the notes a little more of a percussive quality than you would hear with a solid Alder body.
Strung E to C, this bass really sings in the upper register with a beautiful, warm tone and great sustain. Its Flame Koa top, with its red/auburn coloring, seems to me to reflect the warm and inviting tone of this instrument.
