Built for Bass Player and Educator extraordinaire,
Anthony Wellington, this is the most complex Yin Yang we have ever built. Using dark Buckeye Burl with contrasting light Buckeye Burl for the other side of the Yin Yang Symbol makes for a visually stunning instrument and a true one-of-a-kind -- just like the man that will be playing it.
Those of you that know Anthony know that he's got quite a few Foderas (perhaps that's an understatement), but amazingly none of them are six strings. So, when we got the call back in late 2010 that he needed a six-string, we scheduled some time for him to pay us a visit here in Brooklyn. We cannot remember who egged on who in terms of doing a Buckeye Yin Yang symbol, but we sure are glad that we went through with it!
