Unique Features
As a fairly die-hard 4-string guy, this bass literally made me (Jason) weak at the knees. Actually we all took turns making up reasons why we needed to play it just a little bit longer during set-up and check out...none of which were really true, it's just that none of us could bear to see it leave the shop!
Presentation-grade Olive top, killer Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard and a Walnut body make for a bass that simply kills in the tone department. Tight, warm, deep lows that allow for amazing articulation and beautifully balanced highs with an ever-so-slightly compressed midrange that is clean, clear and natural. Although we obviously didn't get a chance to gig with it, we all felt that this bass would cut through the mix exceptionally well...
By the way, if you haven't already, take a close look at the bookmatched pickup covers. Rob and Vinny really outdid themselves on them...they took well over a day's labor!
